Stanley Launches Next Generation Solution: S-QUBE

Stanley Security Solutions continues to build on its market-leading position as an innovative South African solutions provider of Workforce Data Management (WDM) solutions with the launch of the company’s new S-QUBE solution.

Mike Lotter, the newly appointed managing director of Stanley Security Solutions, comments: “In keeping with Stanley’s ‘Evergreen’ philosophy, we have developed the S-QUBE solution from the BlueLine platform because of its stability, ruggedness and reliability.

“BlueLine, with over 10,000 installed sites worldwide, made Blick SA and now Stanley a household name throughout Africa. It was therefore of the utmost importance that our existing customers are able to migrate to the latest technologies without unnecessary risk or disruption to operations. All existing BlueLine customers will therefore be able to follow the upgrade path into the S-QUBE solution – in many cases at very little cost.”

Some software enhancements, such as enhanced Time & Attendance (T&A) functionality and improved reporting facilities, have been included in the launch release but the main thrust of S-QUBE development has been on the integration of cutting edge-technologies and devices to ensure that S-QUBE can deliver the most innovative WDM solutions available today in a totally flexible manner. Lotter adds: “We also realised that is was critical to cater for low bandwidth issues and unstable network environments”.

A major feature in S-QUBE environment is seamless integration of a wide range of third party products such as Sagem biometrics, ERP solutions, existing hardware systems and alarms. Lotter adds: “S-QUBE’s new features are too numerous to fully describe here but lets take a look at some of the most important innovations”.

Total Interoperability – of tags, devices and communications – combined with an open hardware platform, offer the ability to combine and integrate any type of equipment or protocol into the S-QUBE solution. Lotter adds: “This flexibility is a key aspect of S-QUBE development. Stanley is confident that it can accommodate most customer equipment or requirements and meet any required performance standards in our S-QUBE solution. We can also ‘recycle’ most unused legacy devices to perform, for example, other custom time functions such as Siren Operation”.

Multiple Language and Message Profiles allow system communications in the preferred language of individual workforce members, resolving confusion and reducing operational delays. Individual response profiles, which enable devices to react according to an individual tag holder’s profile, also ensure complete control over access to functionality and access areas.

Transforming data into highly effective information is another key strength of S-QUBE. Security, Operations and Human Resources managers will enjoy the accurate real-time reports available from the Desktop Reporting & Management Tools and speedy fault-finding and fixing is enabled through the Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics which can interrogate controllers and devices and convey information direct to support personnel, with the option to send this information via SMS. Lotter adds: “Speed is of the essence when faults occur so Stanley will be able to cut the wasted turnaround time involved in sending a technician out to the site for physical inspection.”

Everything to do with keeping the S-QUBE system up-to-date has been automated and can be centrally distributed. “Customers have many priorities to attend to in their business so S-QUBE’s ability to take over the time-consuming tasks associated with Upgrades, Updates, Backup and Licensing offers real peace of mind,” comments Lotter,

S-QUBE’s ERP Interfaces allows for the complete flow of HR, payroll and productivity data as defined by the business rules. Stanley Security solutions are proud to have seamlessly interfaced with all well renowned ERP and payroll systems in Southern Africa, including SAP, VIP, PeopleSoft, Care, NaVision and Unique.

Stanley have helped many clients reduce payroll data errors and processing time whilst improving productivity and payroll reporting. Effective management and control of payroll expenditure, the largest single expense in most companies, is critical in today’s business climate.

Lotter concludes: “At Stanley, customers are at the centre of our universe. We are always striving to provide peace of mind, ease of use, the most advanced technology backed up by superior customer support, and flexible maintenance and finance programmes.

“We believe that S-QUBE’s attributes enable our customers to evolve with our solutions as their requirements change in a unique, affordable and innovative way”.
